The Health Minister says the latest Covid projections are "very stark" and efforts must be made to prevent them.

Speaking on his way into Cabinet, Stephen Donnelly said "If we did nothing and continue as is, we could see 200 or maybe 500 people in ICU."
"We'd be looking to over a 1000 to 2000 in hospital and a very high number of cases."
NIAC Approve Third Jab For Over 50s
Among the topics for discussion today are an extension to Ireland's booster campaign.
NIAC has approved roll out of a third jab to those over the age of 50 and people with underlying conditions.
But the Taoiseach has warned that will take time, as people must wait a number of months between doses.

Ministers will also consider new advice on working from home, the wider use of antigen tests, and covid certs for gyms, hairdressers and barbers this morning.
