Tens of thousands of passengers are facing travel chaos today after Ryanair and Aer Lingus had to cancel flights due to an air traffic controllers' strike in France.
Aer Lingus has cancelled 12 flights to and from French cities to Dublin, with the airline advising passengers to check the status of their flights before heading to the airport.
Ryanair has cancelled 420 international flights, affecting 80,000 passengers.
Editor of Air and Travel Magazine, Eoghan Corry, says the industrial action has been intentionally organised to cause maximum disruption during a Friday of a busy travel period.
