Homelessness, education and climate change were the main issues being highlighted at a kids’ rally in Dublin today
It was part of the Ark’s Festival of Children 'Right Here Right Now!' which runs until Sunday.
Over the past few weeks, The Ark has been working with a number of schools in a series of creative workshops.
Children also took part in a rights workshops with the Office of the Ombudsman for Children.
They have been making banners, writing a special rallying call song and deciding what issues they would like to highlight.
It all came to a head today when around 300 children turned out at Meeting House Square in Temple Bar.
A number of kids from various schools took to the stage to address the crowds:
In Ireland there are too many kids who are homeless and families living out on the streets, we need to make this right.
Some kids don't have an education but they need an education so when they're older they can get a job
The pollution is getting worse and worse and more and more animals are dying
I feel really bad 'cos I always says our house is too small, but now I feel really bad knowing that there are people on the streets. It is kind of selfish
