Human remains have been discovered in a car that was pulled out of a lake in Co. Fermanagh earlier this week.
The Mitsubishi car was found as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Michael "Tony" Lynch, who went missing from Clones Co. Monaghan in 2002.
It is believed the vehicle pulled from Lough Erne in the Corradillar area on Monday belonged to Mr Lynch.
The PSNI spent the past few days examining the car, and have now confirmed that human remains were found inside.
Michael Lynch's family have been informed of the discovery.
The PSNI says "We are liaising with colleagues from An Garda Síochána, who are investigating Mr Lynch’s disappearance."
