House Prices Outside Dublin Increase By 3.1%
House prices nationally increased by less than 1% in the year to August 2023.
However, the rate of increase or decrease changes depending on the part of the country.
Outside the capital, there was a 3.1% in the cost of a home, while in Dublin the prices fell.
They dropped there by 1.9%.
CSO figures show the median price for a home bought in the 12 months to August was €320,000.
The lowest median price was in Longford, at just under €160,000.
The highest was at Dun Laoghaire in county Dublin, at just over €634,000.
