House Prices Fall In The Capital But Rise Elsewhere
The cost of a home increased by 1.4% in the year to September.
Prices in Dublin fell in the same period, while they increased in the rest of the country.
The Residential Property Price Index increased by 1.4% in 12 months to September.
CSO figures show in the capital, prices declined by 1.9%, while outside Dublin, they went up by 4%.
The region outside Dublin that saw the largest rise in house prices was the south-west, at 5.4%.
The midlands saw a 2.3% rise in prices.
The median price paid for a home was €320,000 - the lowest median was €160,000 in Longford and the highest was €635,000 in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown.
