Hot school meals are set to be extended to all Deis primary schools this September.
The programme is due to be extended to all primary schools in 2024 after being approved by Cabinet ministers this week.
Further details are set to be announced by the Minister for Social Protection Heather Humphreys on Thursday afternoon.
The School Meals Programme was set up in 2003 but hot meals only became a feature in 2019.
A report has highlighted how the programme can improve school attendance and benefit households financially.
