Holly Willoughby has stepped down as the host of This Morning after 14 years.
The 42-year-old posted a statement on Instagram on Monday evening, saying it was the right thing for her and her family.
She described the decision as "such a difficult goodbye". Paying tribute to her former colleagues on the show she said she would be "forever be proud of what" the show's team had achieved together over the years.
ITV insists it'll continue to work with Holly Willoughby, following her decision to step down from the broadcaster's flagship morning show.
She has not presented the show since a man was charged last week with an alleged plot to kidnap and murder her.
Her long-time This Morning co-presenter Philip Schofield, stepped down from the show in May of this year, after it emerged he'd had an affair with a younger male colleague.
