Heroin worth an estimated €3 million has been seized in Dublin.
The 22 kg haul of drugs was recovered in the Dublin 15 area yesterday as part of an intelligence led operation.
The joint operation was carried out by Revenue's Custom Service and Gardai through the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.
There was also an international element to the investigation which Revenue says was significant in the successful outcome of the operation
Two men, aged 31 and 41, were arrested.
They are currently being held at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
Speaking today, Detective Chief Superintendent Angela Willis said it is a "significant" seizure which has stopped heroin circulating within "communities that are suffering the consequences of drug trafficking".
