The health minister James Reilly is refusing to resign after coming in for fresh criticism over the Budget.
Opposition parties are turning up the heat on the minister after it emerged that health cuts next year could be even worse than first suggested.
Over the weekend Fianna Fail called on the minister to consider his position, after he himself admitted his Budget targets may be impossible to meet.
