Four Irish siblings who were arrested by the Egyptian military earlier this month - are expected to come before a prosecutor today.
The Halawa family from Dublin were detained while taking part in a protest in Cairo - calling for the ousted Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi to be reinstated.
The three sisters who are in their 20s and their teenage brother have been detained for almost a fortnight and are facing serious charges including attempted murder.
The siblingsÂ’ mother has been allowed visit them in prison - but it's understood their lawyer has been finding it difficult to get access.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is also assisting the Halawa family.
