GSOC Investigating Firing Of 'Less-Than-Lethal Device' in JCB Pursuit
The Garda watchdog is investigating after a 'less than lethal device' was discharged by officers in the pursuit of a JCB in Carlow.
The machinery was taken early yesterday morning from the Tullow area.
Gardaí say there was a 'managed pursuit' involving officers and the public.
GSOC says nobody was injured.
A man was taken into custody following the incident.
Footage online of the incident appears to show a number of garda cars pursuing a JCB digger along with a number of what appear to be private cars yesterday morning.
