No one was injured during the incident.
Gardai say the incident happened at around 10 o'clock last night in the Glenties Drive area of Finglas.
It's understood a number of people were in the house at the time but no one was injured. However, the front door of the premises was damaged during the incident.
The scene remains sealed off this morning while Gardai carry out an investigation.
It's understood a high powered motorcycle was on the road at the time which Gardai believe may be linked.
