Garda representatives say they'll defend the current rostering system when it comes up as part of sweeping Garda reforms in the future.
A survey of members, found a majority in favour of keeping the existing system, 53 per cent, compared to 23 per cent who don't like the current rosters.
It's the largest survey carried out by the Garda Representative Association
It also found considerable interest in a voluntary redundancy package, if one became available.
Almost a third of respondents, said they would be "very likely" to avail of a scheme.
