Sinn Féin says the Government isn't providing Gardai with the resources necessary to tackle crime.
Party Leader Mary-Lou McDonald made the claim after a five year old child found a loaded gun in West Dublin on Thursday.
It's understood the gun was found close to where a man was shot last weekend.
