A €400 monthly payment could be made to those who take in Ukranian refugees.
The Irish Independent says the €400 payment is viewed by Government as both an inducement for people to offer accommodation.
It would also go towards covering some of the additional costs of having more people living in your home.
It comes amid warnings there'll be a shortage of accommodation by the end of next week.
