The Government is set to buy a new private plane for Ministers.
Tánaiste Micheál Martin says there have been a number of issues with the current Learjet which is coming to the end of its lifecycle.
A procurement process has been launched for the State to buy a second-hand aircraft.
Tánaiste Micheál Martin says he isn't prepared to stand over the current jet:
" There have been issues with the Lear Jet. No point in saying otherwise.
"There have been serious issues with it.
"I'm not prepared to stand over it and in my view, a replacement jet is required."
