116 suspected stolen bicycles worth around a quarter of a million euro were recovered by Gardai during a search in Co. Dublin yesterday.
Gardai from Pearse Street investigating stolen bikes in Dublin city centre carried out the search of a 40-foot container at Allotments in Newcastle, Co. Dublin yesterday morning
They discovered 116 bikes of all makes and models and it's estimated that the total value is around 250 thousand euro.
The bikes have been seized pending further technical examination and Gardai say they'll try to identify the rightful owners in due course.
Bikes that aren't returned will then be circulated on social media in the coming weeks.
No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
