Gardaí have named the three children who were found dead in a house in west Dublin last night.
They have been named as Conor ( 9), Darragh (7) and Carla (3) McGinley.
Gardaí also released a picture of the children with their father, Andrew.
The bodies of the two boys and a girl were found in an upstairs bedroom.
The discovery was made at Parson's Court in Newcastle at around 7.00pm on Friday.
Gardaí say they are investigating the circumstances of their "unexplained deaths."
The house has been sealed off for a forensic examination.
A woman in her 40, was found at the scene, was taken to Tallaght Hospital.
Assistant State Pathologist Margot Bolster has attended the scene.
The bodies of the three children have been removed to the City Morgue, where a post-mortem examination will take place later.
Gardaí say the results of the post mortem will determine the cause of death of the children.
A family liaison officer has also been appointed and is in contact with the father and the extended family.
