Members of minority groups or new Irish community are being encouraged to join the Gardaí, as part of its new recruitment campaign.
Garda Commissioner Drew Harris says he wants his force to come "more reflective" of Irish Society.
He, along with the Justice Minister Helen McEntee are encouraging ethnic minorities to join an Garda Síochana when its new recruitment campaign gets underway in 2022.
Changes are being made to make joining the Gardaí more accessible.

Minister McEntee says "significant work" is required to improve representation in the public sector and says she wants to see African-Irish men and women and Travellers serve their community as gardai
A number of barriers are also being removed, to make the Garda Siochana more accessible.
Gardaí will no longer need to proficient in both English and Irish and work has begun to change uniform policy.
800 new Gardaí and 400 Garda staff will join the force next year.
