Gardaí believe the two men who died in Co Monaghan yesterday knew each other.
60-year-old Christopher Mooney was found dead at his home in Broomfield yesterday morning.
Shortly after, 37-year-old Kieran Hamill, who was from Co. Armagh, died after he was hit by a car at the Ballynacarry Bridge on the Castleblayney to Dundalk Road.
Post-mortem examinations are to be carried out today on the bodies of two men.
Gardai are investigating whether the 2 deaths that happened in Monaghan this morning are connected.
