Gardai have launched an investigation into alleged breaches of Covid-19 laws at an event in Galway this week.
A golf event was held a hotel in Clifden on Wednesday attended by 80 people.
Minister for Agriculture Dara Calleary has resigned after he apologised for attending the event.
Noel Grealish has also apologised for attending the dinner.
The Galway West TD insists he exercised social distancing throughout and was assured the event met public health guidelines.
He says it was an error of judgement.
Senator Jerry Buttimer has also resigned as Leas Cathaoirleach of the Seanad, for attending the golf dinner.
