An investigation is underway following the discovery of a woman's body in Dublin.
At around 10.40 this morning, Gardai were called to a house in Warrenstown Walk in Blancharstown.
On their arrival, the officers discovered the body of a woman aged in her 20's in the sitting room of the property.
The woman is understood to have suffered head injuries and her death is being treated as suspicious.
Her remains were removed from the scene this afternoon, after the Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis carried out a preliminary post mortem.
Gardai say the results of a full post mortem will dictate what direction the investigations takes.
A team from the Garda Technical Bureau have also conducted a forensic examination at the house, which remains sealed off.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station.
