Police in Australia have confirmed they've been in contact with Gardaí after a girl found in Dublin last month was identified as a 20-year-old Australian student.
They've described the situation as "a private matter" and they will not be commenting further because she has not been arrested or charged with anything.
Gardaí initially believed the girl was about 14-years-old and were concerned that she may have been the victim of child-trafficking.
The Irish Independent's Public Affairs Editor Shane Phelan says Gardaí are now learning more about the girl's background.
