Gardaí believe last night's shooting in Dublin was related to the ongoing gang feud in Coolock.
A 22-year-old man was shot dead on Clonshaugh Avenue shortly after 5pm.
He was shot a number of times in the chest and later died in hospital.
The 22-year-old victim was known to Gardaí and they believe this attack was part of a local gang feud.
Members of the Garda Technical Bureau examined the scene last night and an incident room has been set up at Coolock Garda Station.
The front garden of a house on Clonshaugh Avenue remains sealed off this morning.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with camera footage taken in and around the area between 4.30 and 5.30 yesterday evening to come forward.
