Gardai have arrested two men in relation to the Regency Hotel shooting in Dublin five years ago.
David Byrne, a member of the Kinahan cartel, was shot dead during the attack at the hotel in February 2016.
The shooting occurred at a weigh-in for a boxing event in the capital which was bring promoted by Daniel Kinahan.
Gardai investigating the shooting have arrested a 50-year-old man and another man, aged 60.
Both men are set to appear before the Special Criminal Court this evening.
In a statement, Gardaí say "Gardai at Ballymun investigating the fatal shooting at the Regency Hotel on 5th February 2016 have today arrested two males (aged 50 and 60) on foot of a warrants issued by the Special Criminal Court pursuant to Section 47 of the Offence Against the State Act 1939/1998.
Both males will appear before the Special Criminal Court, today Tuesday 20th April 2021 at 7.30pm."
