Gardaí say every effort is being made to protect the people of Drogheda, after a man was shot dead yesterday afternoon.
Keith Brannigan died after he was shot a number of times outside a mobile home in Clogherhead.
It happened at a caravan park in the seaside village of Clogherhead shortly before three o'clock.

The 29 year old is the first fatality in the ongoing gang feud in Drogheda.
The victim is said to be a close associate of a leading gang figure.
Gardaí have logged over 90 incidents relating to the feud to date, including 2 attempted murders and a number of petrol bomb attacks.

The gunman left the scene in a 05 red Lexus which was later found burnt out in Dunleer.
