Four people have died in three separate crashes in the past 24 hours.
Three men and one woman have been killed in collisions in counties Mayo, Limerick and Kerry yesterday and this morning.
A man and a woman in their 30s were killed on the N21 near Ballycarrane, Patrickswell, Co Limerick, when the car they were travelling in collided with a van at around 9.25 last night.
The occupants of the van, a man and woman in their 20s and a little boy, were brought to University Hospital Limerick but are believed to be uninjured.
Meanwhile officers in Mayo are investigating the death of a male pedestrian in his 40s, who died while during a collision at Dooagh in Keel, on Achill at about 3.15am.
Finally, an investigation's underway into a crash in County Kerry which claimed the life of a 19 year-old man.
He died when the car he was driving collided with a tree on the outskirts of Listowel yesterday afternoon.
The two passengers of the car are being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to all three incidents, particularly those with dashcam footage
