A woman in her early 80's is recovering after an aggravated burglary at her home in Edenderry in Co Offaly
The incident took place at around 7:15 yesterday evening when a lone man entered the house at Clonmore, threatened and demanded money from the woman.
Gardai say the man appeared to be unarmed.
The woman was uninjured and was treated at her home.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who may have seen activity in the Clonmore area yesterday evening between 6 and 9 pm to contact them.
