Gardai are appealing for witnesses after an officer was critically injured in a road crash in Co Cork.
An unmarked Garda car was hit on the N25 Youghal bypass, shortly before 7 o'clock yesterday evening.
The car was helping a broken-down car at the time.
The injured garda is in critical condition at Cork University Hospital. The driver of the other car is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigating gardai are appealing for anyone with video footage, who was travelling on the N25 between 6.30 and 7 o'clock yesterday evening, to contact them.
Gardaí are currently at scene of a serious RTC on the N25 Youghal bypass, road is closed.
A Garda has suffered serious injuries and has been removed from the scene to CUH in critical condition.

The Youghal bypass on the N25 was closed overnight to allow the Garda forensic collision investigation to take place.
