Garda hostage and kidnap specialists are on standby to join the search for a missing Irish teenager in Malaysia.
15 year old Nora Quoirin was last seen nine days ago in the holiday resort of Dusan.
On Friday, gardai confirmed a liaison officer was being dispatched to assist with the investigation.
According to the Herald, an elite team of Garda hostage and kidnap specialists are also now on standby to join the search if evidence emerges that she was abducted.
Hundreds of people are taking part in the search for the teenager - who has special needs.
