A member of An Garda Siochana has been hospitalised following a stabbing in Limerick.
The on-duty officer was stabbed in the hand in Bruach na Sionna, Castleconnell.
It happened shorty after 9 o'clock last night.
He was brought to University Hospital Limerick with minor injuries.
A man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with the stabbing.
He's being held at Henry Street Garda station.
