The Garda Commissioner says allegations raised by Garda whistleblowers against colleagues are "quite disgusting".
Martin Callinan says it is important that only two gardai, out of a force of 13,000, have raised concerns about corruption.
He says he will take legal advice about whether one whistleblower - who is a serving garda sergeant - should attend the Public Accounts Committee next week.
He says the PAC is not the place to raise concerns, but that it is important that so few officers are making the allegations:
