A serving member of An Garda Siochana is due in court in Limerick this morning charged with corruption offences.
He is one of two men due before the District Court charged under the Criminal Justice Act.
Today's court appearance follows an investigation undertaken by Special Crime Operations into alleged wrong-doing or corruption involving members of the Gardai in the Southern Region.
