There are fresh fears for jobs at the Liebherr plant in Killarney this morning - after SIPTU members last night rejected Labour Court recommendations on back-pay.
It had proposed the crane factory pay a 2.5 per cent increase in wages - backdated to May 2012.
Management had insisted the pay rise would be subject to changes in practices from the workforce of over 600.
Last month, Liebherr said it was "re-evaluating" its dependence on the plant because of the dispute.
Business journalist Ian Guider says the future of the Killarney plant is at stake.
