The French President's arriving into Dublin this morning for a State visit.
Aras an Uachtarain, Government Buildings and Trinity College are among Emmanuel Macron's destinations as part of the one-day visit.
His meeting with the Taoiseach this afternoon will see both men discuss Afghanistan, the Covid-19 response, and corporation tax.
The visit comes ahead of the French Presidency of the EU next year.
Garda Commissioner Drew Harris has a policing operation is underway, ahead of planned protests.
"A protest is part of a democratic society and we facilitate that," he said.
But the Commissioner Harris warned people who attend a protest "with a view toward breaking the law" will be dealt with appropriately.
