The French Embassy is warning students that Ireland is experiencing a 'severe housing crisis'.
A note posted on its website notifies soon-to-be students in Irish colleges there's been a 'sharp increase in rents here' and they're more expensive than Paris.
The notice also warns those looking to study here they must take 'great vigilance' so as not to get scammed by criminals.
It ends with a list of recommended information sources like the Residential Tenancies Board and a number of social media pages for advice.
