A priest hailed as the father of the peace process in Northern Ireland has died.
Fr Alec Reid played a pivotal role in getting nationalist leaders to seek a peaceful solution to the conflict.
He is best remembered as the priest who gave the last rites to two British soldiers who were killed as they drove into a republican funeral at the height of the Troubles (pictured).
