Four teenage boys have been arrested in connection with an investigation into the ramming of a Garda car in west Dublin last month.
Gardai say the boys were arrested in relation to the 'endangerment of Gardaí and related incidents' in the Cherry Orchard area, two weeks ago, on the 19th of September last.
Footage posted on social media showed two cars speeding through a housing estate in Cherry Orchard before one of the vehicles rammed a squad car head on, as onlookers cheered.
Officers at Ballyfermot, Clondalkin, and Rathcoole Garda stations made the arrests during an operation this morning.
The four boys are currently being held at a number of Garda stations, where they can be questioned for up to 24 hours.
Gardaí have renewed their appeal for anyone with information to contact them at Ballyfermot Garda Station on 01 666 7200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
