Four occupied regions of Ukraine have voted to join Russia after so-called "sham referendums".
Referendums were held in the eastern regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson. The results appear to show support ranging from 87% to 99%.
Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has warned Russia's attempts to take control and annex parts of his country will rule out any talks with Moscow, as long as President Vladimir Putin is leader.
The UN Security Council will meet later to discuss a resolution that says the results will never be accepted. However, Russia has the power to veto any decision made at the council.
