Foreign holidays may be able to resume from the end of July, according to plans being finalised by the government.
On Friday, Cabinet will meet, where Ministers will sign off on the easing of restrictions this summer.
These will include measures for the hospitality, travel and live events sectors.
Indoor dining looks set to return in July - but a date is yet to be set with Taoiseach Micheál Martin suggesting it might be later in the month.
From the end of June trial live events are set to return with crowds - and a roadmap for larger-scale events is also expected this week.
Ireland will also sign up to the EU's Digital Green Certificate on travel by July 1st.
It will then have six weeks to implement it.
The move will likely see the end of mandatory hotel quarantine for most EU countries, but it will be kept for other areas of concern.
