There are reports of a "network-wide failure" across UK air traffic control systems, and engineers are working to "fix the fault".
Shannon Airport has multiple flights to the UK later today which haven't been affected yet, depending on how long the issue takes to be resolve.
While a flight from Ireland West Airport in county Mayo had a flight due to go to London Heathrow which has been delayed.
