Cavan General Hospital, Monaghan Hospital and all HSE Health Care Facilities in Cavan and Monaghan are now Tobacco Free.

Earlier today it was announced that smoking has been banned at three Dublin Maternity Hospitals, The Coombe, The Rotunda and Holles Street Hospital.

These hospital campuses will be completely smoke and tobacco-free, including entrances, doorways and car parks, in addition, all smoking shelters will be dismantled or converted and cigarette bins will be removed.

In a statement this evening, The HSE said that their aim is to create a healthy environment for our patient's visitors and staff and that all staff have responsibility to remind anyone who smokes on campus that the campus is tobacco free.
