Five people have appeared in court accused of various crimes arising out of the investigation into the death of Ashling Murphy.
The 23-year-old primary school teacher was killed along the Grand Canal in Tullamore on the 12th of January last year.
Jozef Puska, of Lynally Grove in Mucklagh, Co Offaly, is due to stand trial for Ashling Murphy’s in October.
Three of the five people who appeared in court today are accused of withholding information from the investigation team on dates between the day Ashling was killed and the 27th of January last year.
They are 35yo Lubomir Puska, 34yo Marek Puska, and Lucia Istokova, who’s also 34.
The charges are alleged to have happened at Tullamore
The other two: 33yo Jozefina Grundzova and 38yo Viera Gazoiva are accused of impeding the apprehension or prosecution of Ashling’s alleged killer.
Their addresses can’t be revealed, by court order.
All five were granted bail today and are due back before Tullamore District Court next month.
