Firefighters in Victoria, Australia, say they face their biggest threat from firestorms since an inferno killed almost 200 people in 2009.
Temperatures are set to reach as high as 45 degrees this week, with forecasters describing the situation as "severe to extreme heatwave conditions".
The last time such a heatwave hit the state of Victoria - the "Black Saturday" firestorm flattened villages and destroyed more than 2,000 homes.
