A teenage girl's been taken to hospital as a precaution, following a fire in Temple Bar this evening.
There were concerns she may have suffered smoke inhalation at the scene on Asdill's Row.
Members of Dublin Fire Brigade used breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze.
Several pumps attended the scene.
District Fire Officer Colm McCarthy is at the scene and says the fire is under control.
"We got a call to a fire just before 5.30 this evening.
"On arrival we discovered the fire was actually in a restaurant on the ground floor level and basement level in Temple Bar.
"So we had to deal with an extensive fire there, and evacuate the apartments above that lead on to Temple Bar themselves".
