Fine Gael is to undertake an internal review into the civil case Maria Bailey had taken against a Dublin hotel.
The party says it wants to establish all of the facts.
Maria Bailey dropped her personal injury claim against the Dean Hotel after she fell off a swing in 2015.
She has agreed to participate fully with the review, following a meeting with the Taoiseach today.
Fine Gael say she will remain as Chair of the Oireachtas Housing Committee while their review is being carried out.
