Fine Gael are closing ranks behind the Taoiseach after his proposal to abolish the Seanad was rejected by voters.
The electorate voted 52 per cent in favour of saving the upper house of the Oireachtas.
Fianna Fáil says the Taoiseach has been damaged by the result.
But speaking on Savage Sunday on Today FM, Fine Gael TD Simon Harris said Enda Kenny's reputation will not be affected.
