The Finance Minister says he has no objections to gay marriage.
Michael Noonan's comments come as the Cabinet meets to discuss holding a referendum on marital rights for same-sex couples.
He says there maybe an age divide on the proposal - adding that he has met nobody under 40 who does not support the idea.
However Minister Noonan admits that while there is referendum fatigue - the issue of gay marriage has to be addressed:
