Soccer's world governing body FIFA is playing down claims from one of its top officials that the Qatar 2022 world cup will not take place in summer.
FIFA stresses no final decision has been taken on the matter.
It comes after FIFA secretary-general Jerome Valcke told Radio France the tournament would take place in the the winter months.
There have been concerns about dangers to teams and fans from high temperatures in the Gulf state.
Qatar was controversially awarded the world cup three years ago.
